Residents of the building on Knyazya Yaroslav Mudrogo Street, which was damaged by a drone attack on the night of May 1, are beginning to return home. However, there are a few apartments that are not habitable.

As the head of the "Intent. Insight" TV channel , Marina Lozenko , head of the Kyiv District Administration of Odesa , said that apartments on the 16th floor were the most affected.

"This has made rescue work very difficult, first of all, because we have problems with special vehicles that can reach above the ninth floor. There are literally two or three of them in the whole city. So these apartments are completely destroyed ," Lozenko explained.

She hopes that one day the city will rebuild them, and then they will be able to be handed over in a queue. However, according to her, residents of the Vuzivskyi housing estate, who were affected by the 2024 air strikes, have not yet received documents and have not been able to receive compensation for windows and doors.

At the same time, the head of the Kyiv City Administration said that 63 apartments from Yaroslav Mudryi Street have already applied for compensation for rent. They can receive from almost 6 thousand hryvnias to 11 thousand.

"It all depends on how many people were registered in the destroyed apartment. Two people will get 5,860 UAH, three people - 8,760 UAH, four or more people - 11,800 UAH. And this is a partial repayment of the rent, not the full amount," Lozenko explained.

Valeriy Bolgan, editor-in-chief of Intent, talked about this and other pressing issues that concern residents of Kyivskyi district of Odesa on the air of Intent. Insight spoke to Marina Lozenko, head of the Kyivskyi District Administration and a member of the Odesa City Council.
